STEER Hub: KIST Park's Transition Facility Opens Doors to More Industry Locators
Batangas State University’s KIST Park is expanding its reach with the boost of the STEER Hub operations, a transition facility designed to accommodate the growing influx of industry locators. The Regional Development Council through RDC Resolution No. IV-A-18-2017 Approved the Batangas State University Science, Technology Engineering and Environment Research (STEER) Hub as CALABARZON’s Center for Science, Technology Engineering and Environment Research.
The STEER Hub fosters a collaborative environment, offering industry locators access to cutting-edge research facilities, including a fabrication laboratory, technology business incubator, and dedicated centers for electronics, geographic information systems (GIS), digital transformation, and web development.
With specialized resources such as exclusive locator spaces, function hall, and audio-visual room, the hub is designed to facilitate smooth operations while fostering a culture of co-creation with Batangas State University’s top-tier faculty and students.
Strategically located adjacent to KIST Park, the STEER Hub allows industry locators to integrate seamlessly into a broader innovation ecosystem. With access to over 46 specialized academic programs, particularly in engineering, locators have unparalleled opportunities to collaborate on joint research projects, tap into a highly skilled talent pool, and accelerate product development.
In addition, the hub is aligned with Batangas State University’s commitment to sustainability, supporting research and development in renewable energy, sustainable technologies, and green building practices. It plays a crucial role in addressing some of the most pressing challenges in science and technology, while promoting long-term economic and environmental sustainability.
As more industry leaders recognize the potential of KIST Park, the expansion of STEER Hub operations is a testament to the growing demand for innovation-driven spaces in the region.
